Printing guide — from download to print

What you get

Every order includes a high-resolution digital file; orders for documents that need a physical photo also include a 4×6 in print sheet with exact 600 dpi crop/cut lines, so any printer or kiosk produces the correct size.

Per-country layout

US passport: 2 × 2×2 in photos per 4×6 sheet. UK passport: 4 × 45×35mm photos per 4×6 sheet. Canada passport: digital renewal only — no print sheet needed (official online form accepts 1,200×1,800 px or larger JPEG; we deliver 1,200×1,800). US visa: 6 × 2×2 in photos per sheet (for the interview). Canada visa: 8 × 35×45mm photos per sheet (paper-mail applications). UK visa: digital only — no print sheet.

Printing at a store

Upload the 4×6 sheet to any photo counter (Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Shoppers, London Drugs). Cost is typically $0.15–0.35 per 4×6 sheet — a few cents per photo, versus $10–20 at a passport studio.

Printing at home

Use any inkjet with 4×6 or A4 photo paper, print at 100% scale (no fit-to-page), and cut along the lines with scissors. Our sheet includes crop marks for exactly that.

US digital renewal

Renewing by mail upload? The official system accepts a digital JPEG up to 240 KB — our US file is quality-optimised to stay well under that limit.
